<br>I think a lot of people are confused by the double meaning of toboggan.   In
<br>most parts of the US it's now understood as a runner-less sliding implement
<br>with a curved-up front, usually long enough for three or more to sit on.   But
<br>it's also a type of winter hat, knitted with a long point (down to your
<br>shoulders).  Still used in Ohio, and some parts of upstate NY at least.
