<br>timed for a maximum of 20 minutes, plus 10 minutes for discussion.

<br>All disciplinary approaches are welcomed--anthropological, psychological,
<br>sociological, linguistic, literary, philosophical, geographical, or
<br>historical.  Subject matter is also open, including personal names,
<br>geographic names, corporate names, team names, names in literature, and
<br>cultural or linguistic function.
<br>
<br>Short abstracts (150 words max.) should be sent by September 1 to:  Grant
