I believe that, while scuzz bucket and rat-breath were unknown to me before

Belker used them on Hill Street, I was familiar with scumbag, as well as

scumbucket and scumbum, long before that show came along. When and where

they entered my frame of reference, I'm not at all sure, but here in Indiana

they have been around for a while, I think.
