<br>Our colleague Mike Linn is on an exchange in Northern Russia (where there
<br>is still lots of snow!), and has asked me to convey the following two
<br>requests for help to the list:
<br>
<br>>Could you see if anyone on the ADS list or some one you know
<br>>could find the address of K.  Nordenstam.  He has two tables,  Tables
<br>>1.1 and 1.2   in Trudgill's <Accomodation between Dialects> which
<br>>were in <Svenskan i Norge>  published by Gothenberg:  University
<br>>Press.
<br>
<br>>Second, in Anthony Krock's article, "Towards a Theory of Dialects" (it is
<br>>in the first edition [of the Allen and Linn *Dialects and Language
<br>>Variation*]) there are some tables from an article by G Mahl. The copyright
<br>>has passed from the publisher to the author so I need to find Mahl and get
<br>>his permission.  I didn't bring the manuscript or the first edition with
<br>>me so I can't be more informative.
<br>
<br>Mike is looking for these people so he can clear copyrights for the
<br>second edition of his book.
<br>
