My grandmother, a staunch Methodist, wouldn't even say Oh, Lord. she changed

it to Oh, law! Or Lawsy have mercy! She considered darn, gosh, gee, etc.,

to be curse words. She once jumped all over my grandfather for saying

Gosh-a-Molly in front of the children.
