Subject: Anodyne expletives



   My mother always used "sugar foot" in front of us kids, but would

occasionally slip up and actually say shit instead. She grew up on the

eastern shore of Maryland, but spent all of her adult life in the

suburbs of D.C. and Baltimore. I wonder if anyone else can place a

similar expression in the area.
