    The Melting Pot Theory dates to 1782 and the essay, "Letters from
an American Farmer" by Michel-Guillaume Jean de Crevecoeur. In it, he
says, "Here individuals of all nations are melted into a new race of men,
whose labors and posterity will one day gause great changes in the
world..."
