Indeed, I used to could do all kinds of things that I can't do now. I asked
a friend of mine from Texas whether he used this particular construction
and he said that it sounded like something he would say but he didn't think
he ever had. I think I probably say it less often that I used to because
I'm getting to the age I don't want to admit all that I can't do. But I
think it's still a pretty common construction here in East Tennessee.
