Seems to me, e-mail (E-mail, email) is essentially the same noun as mail.
Isn't it electronic mail vs. snail mail? Unless one defines e-mail as
equivalent to letter, which I don't think is really done. When it's said
as "an e-mail" isn't it really an elipsis of "an e-mail message"?
Think I'll send this off to the Times too.
