Is the verbal usage of angioplasty a coinage, or elsewhere attested?

It seems like a pretty natural jump but this is the first I've seen or

heard of it.

As a medical editor, I attest to the fact that back formation of verbs

is common in pre-edited medical manuscripts. The practice is shunned,

however, by the American Medical Association Manual of Style.
