I think it was in TIME Magazine that I saw a question that is related to

DEnnis' query about the aughties. How will we abbreviate the date?

1-1-00? 01/01/00? TIME editors pointed out that they had already used

the double-aught.

Do your university students understand 'aught' and 'naught'? I've come

across convenience-story clerks (Caucasian) who don't know how much

four bits would be.
