I first heard the term doing fieldwork in Newton County, Arkansas. In

Newton Co., the terms applied exclusively to morels. Apparently they are

used in other areas (KY, at least) to apply to other mushrooms as well. As

far as I could tell, the terms were used interchangeably in Newton Co.
