One of my students (from Alabama) reports that she used to work for her

father at a convenience store. He had told her to expect a delivery from

the Coke man. Later, when he asked whether the delivery had been made,

she replied that only the RC man had come. Even though the student and

her father both used Coke to mean any soft drink, there was some

confusion in this instance.
