Coincidence. Rudy and I were respnding to Sali at the same time. He's in

Arizona, where the issue raised by the term 'mixing' is very much alive, and

I've been in monolingual, (politically-)monocultural Missouri for nigh onto

a quarter-century. Well, Rudy told it like it is! I still have enough of

a visceral reaction to the term that I wouldn't use it in a publication,

even if I were to totally buy what I seemed to say in my note a few mintes ago.
