Lance" Subject: Re: ways of dealing with names When a by-pass was completed on the east side of Columbia, Missouri and Hwy Dept personnel put up signs, some (perhaps identifiable, but I'm not gonna try) 'they' decided that 'Broadway' was not an appropriate way to refer to a broad way into town, so the proud sign at the top of the exit ramp announces "Broadway Street." (Here a boulevard usually has a median, so broad ways aren't necessarily boulevards.) DMLance
