In proofreading something, I recently corrected what I thought was a typo, changing "providing students with a broader perspective OF international issues" to "...a broader perspective ON world issues." A colleague just now asked me in puzzlement why I had changed it. To her, "of" seemed right and "on" seemed wrong. To me, the opposite is true. Is this a regional issue? Or is one of us crazy? I'd like to gain a broader perspective on/of "perspective".
