For those whoo were wondering about LUGEN, Irving Lewis Allen discusses

the term iln THE LANGUAGE OF ETHNIC CONFLICT, p. 62. His only sourceis

Pederson (in the article which Tom--I think it was--cirted previously)

and he seems to be suggesting that it is a term which originated in Chicago.
