I can't argue with "going postal" as the word/phrase of the year, but some

special award should go to the New York City paper (I forget which one, the

Times I think) that came up with the quintessential method for describing

that troublesome rock star who wants to be known by a symbol rather than a

name: "The squiggle formerly known as Prince." That was easily the best

thing I saw all year!
