The native pronunciation in Texas (in the city, not the state) is /yuwst n/.
I remember being startled the first time I heard the time-honored sentence
in the old ACLS materials for ESL, "Is Euston the next station?", thinking
it must be Houston, until I saw it in print. I still don't know where
Euston is; must be around Yale-land.
Glad to see the January thaw has finally arrived in the Midwest; we
had 85 in Tucson this week.
