Okay, so Jake/Jacob became associated with toilets; how then did Jake, the
toilet, become a slang synonym for okay or all right, as in "everything is
Jake," a term I remember from my youth but my younger colleague (early
thirties) never heard of? Or did that come pouring out of the bottle with "jake
leg" rum?
Just curious.
