For HOTEL, I regularly recommend the AHD (3rd edition). Of course, my

students also know my strong feelings bout their need to consult the

OED.

I was delighted (Natalie, thanks for using the acronym), that HOTEL is

my choice here at Georgetown and has been for at least the last seven

years. I am always pleased to see and hear students and colleagues

refer to it in the same way.
