<br>Speaking of automatic translation pages.  There is one in Osaka that
<br>will translate the contents of a webpage (in Standard Japanese) into the
<br>Osaka dialect.   Yes, it really works, and no, the Osaka and Tokyo
<br>(standard) dialects are not far enough apart that this kind of thing is
<br>really necessary.  Probably not of much use to many ADS members either,
<br>but the fact that this kind of thing exists says a lot about the dialect
<br>consciousness here in Osaka.
