Here in the shadow of Miller Brewery the proper expression is

"knife and fork."



This reminds me of an old Peanuts cartoon.

Charlie Brown notes that it is raining "cats and dogs"

outside.

Snoopy, the dog, in his balloon, verbalizes the following:

"One does not say 'cats and dogs.' The proper expression is

'dogs and cats.'" (Or something close to this.)
