The rules sound OK in general but (on a more culinary than linguistic note) I

decline to observe the boycott of city-named restaurants, especially when the

city in question is Bangkok. I have noticed no negative correlation with the

quality of food, and the proposed boycott would have deprived me of the only

Thai food in more than a couple of small American cities. I suppose every

rule has its exceptions, every principle its parametrization...
