Subject: Animals and Energy

I just came across something that struck me as strange in Chaika's

_Language: The Social Mirror_ : "... the word _energy_ in English

refers to a human being's physical or mental energy or electrical or

fossil fuel power, but it doesn't refer to animals. That is, it seems

odd for me to say, 'My new puppy has a lot of energy.'" (page 14)

I find nothing at all odd about "My new puppy has a lot of energy."

It strikes me as a perfectly normal statement. Am I the odd one, or

is Chaika?
