In my speech, gender-neutral "guys" isn't restricted to the vocative; I can

also use it to refer to a group of women in deictic expressions like

"those guys." Again, this seems to be a pretty general feature; no one

has ever commented on it to me (and I hang with some serious feminists,

all over the country).
