This word gets more interesting by the minute. I'm not sure how I'd spell



"My daddy whooped me" but I'd say it with oo of took



And as for whoops! for me it's the vowel of took and no other spelling

is used. Oops is also a word I'd use, with the same vowel.



This reminds me that I'm sure there is a word boundary out there for "whew!"

(my usage) vs. "phew!" (never in a million years).
