"Take this up to 84th" meant "take it to the north end." On one hand, this was insider lingo, but on the other, it was practical because many people are simply terrible at orientation to direction when inside a large building. The reason everyone knows where the streets are is that the employees enter from the wings or the front. I am also new on this list and need to know where to send fees for joining ADS.
