I graduated from high school in 1984 and for the four years I spent there we

would commonly use the Mc prefix for anthing that was cheap or mass produced.

I.e. McCar, McBook, McPhone, and the president used the McHotline to get a

good meal. It has been a slang use since `80 in my vocabulary, in as much as

slang can be defined that is.
