Subject: carried my cousin to the store



O.K. here's another one from southern Arkansas. People native to here often

say: "I have to carry my cousin to the store." When I first heard this I

thought the cousin had trouble walking and had to be scooped up in the person's



arms, but they just meant that they were taken to the store in the car.

I would say: "I have to take my cousin to the store." Comments?
