Hmm ... this brings to mind something which has puzzled me for a long time. My father, while he lived, used to refer to "English Muffins" as "Stronaks" (spelling uncertain, of course.) I have suspected that was a brand which he ate when he first started eating them -- in Boston, FWIW. He was born in the early part of the 20th century.
