I haven't seen the film yet, but you might want to look at the novel,

which I just finished. Forrest uses invariant "be" quite frequently.

I didn't think this a common feature of white Alabamans of my generation

(I am not an Alabaman, but I grew up when Forrest did), though I should

chexck Crawford Feagin's book before I shoot off my electyroinic mouth again.
