Subject: oj trial



I heard an nth-hand report that the attorneys in the OJ trial and Judge Ito

clashed yesterday over a prosecution question about whether some witness

overheard someone "who sounded black." I haven't got a NY Times today and

was out of touch most of yesterday (hey, it's hot here). Can anybody fill

me in? I've got a student doing some research on Ebonics and this incident

sounds like something he could get his teeth into.
