Maybe the question should be, Is the average person's perception

of race based on overheard speech as good as other aspects of

eyewitness identification, such as people's judgment of a stranger's

height and weight? If so, it might be reasonable to bring it up at

a trial, as one of many points, while acknowledging that none of

them is 100% certain.
