Subject: pre-consonantal /l/ in AAVE

I was listening to a presentation on grant writing yesterday and the

presenter, a highly educated African-American, used /l/-less forms in words

like film, milk, but what surprised me was that the word "results" sounded

almost like "resorts," that is, the /l/ was getting /r/-like somehow. Does

anyone know more about this?
