I, too, would be interested in hearing about this group. I have been told

that Brent Kennedy has a book on these to some degree Muslim or descendents

of Muslim people who were brought to my attention very late in the process of

getting my African Muslims in Antebellum America: Trans-Atlantic Stories and

Spiritual Struggles (Routledge, April 1997) in print. Allan D. Austin
