Do you know the expression in jig time? It seems it might be regional, but

there is doubt. If you know it, from where?



I associate the term with 1930/40 movies, New York street types, Irish

probably. I grew up in Louisville, KY. Born 1940.





How about lay with (it), meaning hold tight to, keep at, stick with; also

for this area of usage.
