I just saw a program on Discovery (or maybe A&E) about the mystery

of Pancho Villa's gold, said consistently to be hidden, if it existed,

in the "Sierra Madres" - presumably the standard English ellipsis for

"Sierra Madre Mountains", itself a pleonasm (since "Sierra" means

a mountain range).
