The practice of a female child being named junior though, never common, is not

recent.

Even in the fifties there was an adult woman in San Antonio, Don True Acres,

Jr., who was named after her mother. The father was named Roy. Also, the poet

Nikki Giovanni, is a junior. I cannot remember what the original name was that

she shares with her mother.
