Subject: Re: second cousins

Can anyone define "second cousins?"

Your children would be the second cousins of your first cousin's children.

Is it right to say that your first cousin is your parent's

niece or nephew and that your first cousin once removed is your

parent's first cousin (one generation removed from you)?

Yes.

Does a second cousin once removed exist? Twice removed?

Yes. A second cousin once removed would be your parent's second cousin.

A second cousin twice removed would be your grandparent's second cousin.

Having said all that, let me caution you not to believe its accuracy unless

somebody else confirms it. I have almost no cousins (no first cousins at

all) and am not into this stuff as much as other people probably are.
