Subject: Re: DARE queries--maple seeds

I've been hunting in my memory for what we called maple seeds back in

the Bronx in the 1930s--we used to open them an put them on our noses too.

I'm not sure, but I thin it was pol(l)y noses or could it have been

pol(l)wogs? Is there anybody else around from that time and place?

Hi Francine. I grew up in NYC in the 60's and we called them pol(l)y noses.

I've also heard them called pol(l)ywogs.
