well, despite so many people not recognizing the word "ambrosia",

that's the only thing i've ever heard that concoction called in

upstate ny & illinois.



that and jello salad are what my friends and i call "protestant soul

food." (a friend who grew up methodist/lutheran calls it "the food

of my people", so that's how the whole thing got started.)
