Clinton, in referring to his knee injury, was quoted as saying "I had an

unlucky break."

Apparently the word can imply an interruption in a string of favorable

events as well as a string of unfavorable events. However, the 'unfavorable

change' is definitely the marked meaning, since the word 'lucky' is optional

in: "I'm waiting for my (lucky) break."
