I have it stuck in my not-always- reliable brain that I noticed nominative us while working on something unrelated to pronouns. The reason I remember it is that I was surprised. Surely I made a note of it somewhere other than in my brain, but I can't find any such note. And I really don't want to devote all of Spring Break to chasing what may turn out to be a non-existent form. Surely I wasn't thinking last night of objective we -- which I don't think would have surprised me since that's an often-cited feature of Gullah. I guess the point of this posting is to say that until I find some kind of confirmation for what I said last night about nominative us, ignore it. --Natalie (maynor[AT SYMBOL GOES HERE]ra.msstate.edu)
