A little bit off the track, but I enjoyed it:



A few years ago some MIT students were insulted by allegations that they

couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time. Rather than retaliate, they

turned the other cheek by replacing the glass in the "WALK/WAIT" signal at a

pedestrian crossing, so that it read "WALK" or "CHEW".





Also, about mixing expressions, my brother used to ask (in the early 80s):

"Is the pope Polish?"
