I'm not willing to preside, exactly, but was wondering if you would still

accept an abstract if I e-mailed it by tomorrow evening? I was seriously

under the weather long term due to a doctor's screw-up in December and was

therefore unable to stay on top of my writing obligations. I'm now

functioning and nearly well and am able to look to next year a bit. I

would work up the paper I mentioned last year on Appalachian English and

idea/ideal hypercorrection.



I realize this is an inconvenience, but if you have a slot or in need, I

may be able to contribute.
