Tom McClive's hypothesis is interesting, but it doesn't match data Don Lance

sent in, nor mine - e.g. Best's, WalMart's, and the latter cannot be

misconstrued as a name.

Ace, by the way, was a big-time nickname where I grew up (around Louisville, K

Y), and 'Let's go over to Ace's' sounds good to me.
