Subject: harassment



I heard a new (to me) pronunciation of "harassment" on the local (SLC)

television news last night. Instead of saying either harASSment or

HARassment, the anchorwoman combined the two pronunciations and said

"hair*ass'ment" (with the stress on the second syllable).
