i'd say this is a word of the year candidate, if only i knew what

it meant. this is the aboutt-the-author blurb at the end of an

editorial re-posted to the humanist list about a controversy at the

u of minnesota:



Fennell Evans is director of the University of Minnesota's Center for

Interfacial Engineering.



the only thing i can think that interfacial engineering might be is

the technology of mashing.



does anyone know?
