guess it's a derived adjective from "interface," which might have

to do with computers ("human interface" in the sense of how the

person uses the computer, what the computer looks like, that sort

of thing). But I'm only guessing--maybe a query to whoever posted

that editorial to the humanist list would be more fruitful.
